One year of Russia’s all-out war

It’s 5:07 a.m. in Kyiv.

The time when, exactly one year ago, Ukrainians all over the country woke up to the sounds of Russian missiles, artillery, and aircraft above what should have been their sleeping cities.

Wherever you are, in all likelihood, five o’clock in the morning is associated with the early morning quiet. For Ukrainians, this time of day will forever be reminiscent of a night sky lit up by explosions and the end of life as they had known it.

The content included in this email is dedicated to the one-year anniversary of Russia’s brutal, unjustified war of aggression and genocide against Ukraine.

Our work is also a testament to the future we are fighting for in Ukraine. A democratic, free, peaceful future.

To build that future, we need your support. Stand with us today. Support our journalism.
